The writing is terrible. I very much enjoy most of the self-publish novels I find but this one is by far too poorly written to read. It is one of the very worst for poor English. Words are misused (i.e. "four" in place of "for", "whom" where the word should be "who" etc.), sentences are strange at times and on and on. I read through the first incomplete little story and started on the second but I just can not continue. The story is at best thin and poorly told. The characters are poorly developed so that I just could not find myself caring much about what happened to any of them. I recommend skipping this series of novels.

This review is for all three parts to the book, unfortunately I couldn't give less than one star for the final book (it was longer and deserved less).

The good bits....
First Contact scenario - check
Set in present day (initially) - check

The bad bits
The writing is bad, the characters are cardboard there is no character development, there is no decent descriptions of the places they go, the lead human gives stupid names to the aliens like 'bumpy' and yes I have a sense of humour but if that was supposed to be funny then that was written bad as well.

I bought Part One as the premise of the book sounded interesting, I bought Part Two as Part One was so short I thought it had to get better as it couldn't get worse, I bought Part Three because I had to see how it ended.......for me it ended half way through Part Three...I had enough.

Note to author, well done for writing a book but this would be the sort of the book I would write if I made the effort and that's why I don't.

This revue is for all three books parts 1 through 3. This book is told from the point of view of the main character and is well written. There are a few surprises in this book and I think the author uses a plausible scientific approach in his writing. The ending in Part 3 was surprising and hopefully there will be a sequel.
